What's in a name?
chro·mat·ic /krōˈmadik/, adj: relating to or produced by color
Chromatic Scars Review was founded by Kat, a poet and artist with a condition known as synesthesia. She perceives words and stories as various colors, textures, shapes, and patterns. Thus, she believes that the realms of visual art and word are closely intertwined.
As such, she encourages all young people submitting to this publication to visualize their own work — how does it look in the ether of your mind? What does it taste like? How does it feel beneath your fingertips? Is it cold or hot? Rough or smooth? Quiet or loud?
The publication is FREE to read, so we can all see the world from each others’ senses.

Our Mission
We are a youth-led online literary and arts publication dedicated to uplifting emerging creators’ voices. However, there is no age limit to submit to our work!
We seek to honor and preserve the gift of sensing through our publication, which is free to read and download. We want everyone to see the world through others' kaleidoscopes.
